Crayo pricing
Crayo pricing, explained
Crayo’s pricing page shows three plans and a toggle. The numbers you see first are the annual prices; the four meters underneath are what decide how many videos you actually get. This page lays them out plainly, works through what a month of posting costs, and compares it with paying per rendered minute. Prices were read from crayo.ai/pricing in September 2026.
The short version
Crayo is priced for your busiest month. Pay-as-you-go is priced for your real one.
- Hobby is $13 a month only if you pay $160 up front; month to month it is about $19, and four separate meters reset every cycle.
- Thirty one-minute videos take 30 of the 60 credits in a $10 StoryTok pack to render, and use up Hobby’s voiceover minutes exactly.
- Crayo’s FAQ: no free trial, no refunds. StoryTok: 3 free render minutes, automatic refunds on failed renders.
- Packs from $5, nothing renews
- Credits never expire
- 3 free render minutes, no card
- Failed renders and posts refund themselves

- Hobby
- $13/mo billed annually ($160/yr), about $19 month to month. 50 workflow credits, 40 export minutes, 30 voiceover minutes, 100 AI images per month.
- Clipper
- $27/mo billed annually ($327/yr), about $39 month to month. 150 workflow credits, 120 export minutes, 120 voiceover minutes, 300 AI images per month.
- Pro
- $55/mo billed annually ($664/yr), about $79 month to month. 250 workflow credits, 240 export minutes, 180 voiceover minutes, 500 AI images per month.
- Policies
- No free plan or trial. “Subscription credits reset at the start of each billing cycle and don’t roll over.” “Unfortunately, we do not offer refunds.” Cancel any time; the plan runs to the end of the cycle.
The four meters
A workflow credit is one auto-edited video: a Reddit story, a texting story, a split screen, a streamer clip, an auto-clip or a quick-subtitles job. Export minutes are the length of everything you download. Voiceover minutes are narration generated by the AI voices. AI images are a separate count for the image generator.
For a narrated story video all four move at once, and the smallest one is the real limit. On Hobby that is voiceover minutes: 30 a month. Thirty one-minute stories use all of them while 10 export minutes and 20 workflow credits go unused. On Pro the export minutes (240) run out before the workflow credits (250) if your videos average a minute.
Because the meters reset monthly and do not roll over, a plan is priced for its best month, not your average one. If you post daily every month, the maths is fine. If you post in bursts, the quiet months are paid for and not used.

To buy today
$10
one Starter pack, 60 credits. This month uses about $5 of them and 30 credits carry over. Nothing renews.
Crayo
$13/mo
Hobby plan billed annually ($160/yr up front), or about $19 month to month. Your voiceover minutes run out first.
Both figures cover making the videos. Crayo does not offer publishing; add accounts above to see StoryTok's posting cost.
For videos that come out as one file: stories, texting stories, captions and split screen. Highlights are billed on the source minutes you upload instead, so they are not estimated here. StoryTok: 1 credit per minute per video with 5 seconds of grace at each minute boundary (2 with a premium voice) plus 1 paid credit per video per account, priced at the cheapest pack combination. The amount to buy today is a one-time pack, not a monthly price; unused credits never expire. Crayo: the smallest plan whose voiceover minutes, export minutes and workflow credits all cover the month, from crayo.ai/pricing, September 2026. Its meters reset monthly.

| StoryTok | Crayo | |
|---|---|---|
| 30 one-minute story videos a month | 30 credits to render: a $10 Starter pack, 30 credits left over. Posted to one account each: 60 credits, the whole pack | Hobby: $13/mo annual or about $19 monthly; voiceover minutes exactly used up; no posting to price |
| Ten two-minute videos, one month, then nothing for three months | 20 credits to render: a $5 Mini pack. Posted to one account each: 30 credits, so a $10 pack. Nothing charged in the quiet months | One month of Hobby at $19, or $160 for the year if you took the annual price |
| A year of 30 one-minute videos a month (360 minutes) | 360 credits to render: one $50 Creator pack, or six $10 packs. Posted to one account each: 720 credits, two Creator packs | Hobby annual: $160 |
How StoryTok prices the same videos
- Rendering: 1 credit per rendered minute, rounded up with a 5-second grace period at each minute boundary, minimum one per video. Premium ElevenLabs voices cost 2 per minute; included voices cost 1.
- Posting is a separate metered line from the same balance: 1 paid credit per video per connected account. Two accounts on the same platform count as two. Scheduling adds nothing. If you only download, this line is zero.
- Worked example: a video billed at 2 rendered minutes costs 2 credits to make. Posted to one account it is 3 credits in total; posted to three accounts it is 5.
- Packs, not plans: $5 for 20 credits, $10 for 60, $50 for 360. Nothing renews. Credits never expire.
- 3 free minutes at signup, no card, for rendering only. Trial renders carry a watermark and cannot be published; renders made with paid credits have no watermark.
- A post that fails refunds its posting credit, and a scheduled post canceled before it is handed to the platform refunds too.
- Failed renders refund automatically, and stories settle on the measured length of the finished video, so a 50-second video costs one credit, not the estimate.
- Checkout in your currency with local payment methods (Apple Pay, Pix, iDEAL, BLIK, Klarna and more).
Questions people ask
How much does Crayo cost per month?
As of September 2026, Crayo’s pricing page lists Hobby at $13, Clipper at $27 and Pro at $55 per month when billed annually ($160, $327 and $664 a year), described as a 30% discount on month-to-month billing, which works out to roughly $19, $39 and $79.
Does Crayo have a free plan or free trial?
No. The pricing page lists no free plan or trial, and Crayo’s API documentation states that free accounts have no credits or storage. Crayo does offer some free browser-side utilities (a video trimmer, compressor and similar) that are separate from the video generator.
Do Crayo credits roll over?
No. Crayo’s FAQ states that subscription credits reset at the start of each billing cycle and do not roll over. One-time top-ups are tracked separately.
Does Crayo give refunds?
Crayo’s FAQ states: “Unfortunately, we do not offer refunds.” You can cancel at any time and the plan stays active until the end of the billing cycle.
What is the cheapest way to make Reddit story videos?
For occasional use, pay-as-you-go. StoryTok’s $5 pack is 20 credits, which renders 20 minutes of finished video, roughly 20 short story videos, and the credits keep until you use them. For daily posting with heavy use of extras like AI images, a Crayo plan can be competitive.
Does StoryTok charge extra to post a video?
Yes, and it is stated up front: 1 paid credit per video per connected TikTok, Instagram or YouTube account, from the same balance that pays for rendering. A two-minute video posted to one account is 3 credits in total. Downloading is always free, so the posting line is zero if you upload yourself.
